Position: HR & Administration Generalist

Position Requirements:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR & Administration Generalist to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing a wide range of human resources and administrative functions, ensuring smooth operations and a positive employee experience. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented multitasker with excellent communication skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, office management, and administrative support, contributing to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a seamless transition for new employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR-related matters.
- Support employee relations by addressing concerns, mediating conflicts, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Assist in performance management processes, including goal setting, evaluations, and feedback sessions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity in Dayforce systems.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and communication with providers.
- Assist with payroll processing, leave tracking, and timekeeping systems.
- Develop and implement HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Administration & Office Management:
- Oversee daily office operations, including supply inventory, equipment maintenance, and facility management.
- Manage correspondence, document filing, and record-keeping to ensure efficient information retrieval.
- Organize and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and vendor management to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Handle travel arrangements, accommodations, and scheduling for staff as needed.
- Provide administrative support to various departments, including project coordination and event planning.
- Implement and improve office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
Knowledge and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in HR and/or administrative roles, preferably in a generalist capacity.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, HR best practices, and workplace compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
- Experience with payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Familiarity with project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations.
