Description Balanced Body is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Intern to support the Human Resources team for up to 2-months. This internship provides hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions including employee engagement, records management, and event coordination. The intern will collaborate with multiple departments and gain valuable real-world skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities The HR Intern will support the following ongoing and project-based activities: Employee Engagement & Recognition · Assist in updating and maintaining the BB Photo Wall to reflect current team members · Participate in and support Fresh Team activities and other company events as scheduled HR Records & File Management File active & terminated employee records under the supervision of HR staff Scan and digitize termination file boxes in coordination with HR team members Assist with organizing and maintaining the HR storage room Support preparation and assembly of new hire onboarding packets Requirements Qualifications Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Learn to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn Skills Gained Through the Internship Upon completion of the HR Internship, the intern will have developed and demonstrated the following skills: Professional & Foundational Skills High attention to detail Accuracy in data entry, file labeling, and records management Time management Juggling multiple concurrent projects with varying deadlines Prioritizing urgent deliverables Physical organization of storage rooms and filing systems Digital organization of scanned documents and HR records Collaboration across multiple departments Working with HR team members, managers, and cross-functional departments Following direction from multiple supervisors across projects HR-Specific Skills Knowledge of personnel file structure and filing processes Familiarity with file retention practices and confidentiality requirements Document digitization and electronic file management Assembling onboarding packets with attention to completeness and accuracy Employee Engagement & Event Coordination Support for employee recognition programs Communication Skills Written communication Handling sensitive employee information appropriately Work Schedule This position is onsite and part-time, 3-days per week, Monday to Friday.
