Description

Wonderland Day Nursery is a family run day nursery in Letchworth and we are looking for an experienced HR Administrator to work for up to 12 months covering maternity leave.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Management Team in the provision of high quality, efficient day to day HR services within our Nursery.
The role is 25 hours a week Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 2.00pm. (We can be flexible on the timing, but essential to be five hours a day)

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain employee’s personal files in an orderly, secure and confidential manner, ensuring files are kept up to date and in line with data protection requirements.
  • Carry our regular audits and maintenance of personnel files as required.
  • Answer and deal with day-to-day enquiries in a timely and efficient manner. Deal with incoming emails, post and other paperwork as required and all general HR administration as it occurs.
  • Processing information onto our HR Be-spoke database online computer system, to include staff details and changes, recruitment and employment checks, staff qualifications, start and leave information, absenteeism records, staff training and keeping track of probation review periods for new starters.
  • Actively involved in disciplinary and grievance procedures and have HR legislation knowledge. (We do work with an external HR Company for advice)

Requirements:

  • Up to 1 years experience of working in a HR position
  • Knowledge of payroll essentials to support our team of 70 employees.
  • Be experienced in all aspects of the recruitment process
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work within a team
  • Payroll experience
