£24,277.50 - £25,506.00 PER ANNUM (PRO-RATA FOR PART-TIME)

Orchard Vale Trust is looking for an HR Administrator to support the team on a part-time basis. If you have effective organisational skills and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Orchard Vale Trust was set up to respond directly to the needs and aspirations of adults with learning disabilities and was registered as a charity to do so in September 1985. Today, with 4 registered Care Homes, a community and day service and its own social enterprise, Orchard Vale Trust offers a range of personalised opportunities for over 50 adults with learning disabilities and aims to support individuals to live life to the full in every way possible.
The HR Administrator Role:
You will be providing administrative support to the HR function, Operations Manager and day-to-day running of the central support services.

As HR Administrator, you will:

  • Respond professionally and appropriately to general enquiries
  • Assist with administrative tasks to include maintaining and updating employee records
  • Create and maintain individual personnel folders
  • Prepare written HR correspondence as requested
  • Maintain annual leave and sickness absence records
  • Keep staff training records up to date
  • Support the recruitment process by sending out application packs and scheduling interviews
  • Conduct pre-employment checks prior to new employees commencing employment to include DBS applications, references, employment history checks
  • Ensure new recruits are issued with ID badges
  • Schedule HR meetings and support when required
  • Manage incoming and outgoing post
  • General administrative support including filing, scanning and photocopying

  • Assist with the development of appropriate systems and procedures.
  • Take reasonable care of health and safety of self, others and resources whilst at work.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post and level of responsibility as may be reviewed periodically with the Chief Executive.

  • £12.45 - £13.08 per hour dependent on experience

All successful candidates will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check which will include a check against the Barred Adult list and references. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
