Full job description

Looking for your first HR role... or a fresh start in people support?

Do you love helping people?

Are you starting your HR career? Perhaps you've recently graduated, are studying towards your CIPD, or already have some administration or customer service experience and are looking for your first step into HR?

Whatever route you've taken, if you're passionate about people and looking to build a career in HR, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. This is a developmental HR role offering hands-on exposure to employee relations, employment law and client advisory support. Working alongside experienced HR Advisors and Consultants, you'll gain practical experience across a wide range of workplace matters whilst developing your HR knowledge, confidence and professional skills.

At Redwing Solutions, we're not your typical HR consultancy. We support nurseries and small businesses across the UK with their people challenges, helping clients navigate everything from day-to-day HR queries through to more complex employee relations matters. We've been doing this for over 22 years and pride ourselves on combining expert support with genuinely exceptional customer service.

We're now looking for an HR Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team.

Why you'll love working here

We work hard, but we genuinely enjoy what we do.

You'll be joining a close-knit team that shares knowledge, supports each other through challenges and celebrates successes together. Nobody is expected to know everything and asking questions is actively encouraged.

Plus, there's:

  • A supportive office-based environment where you're never on your own.
  • Plenty of learning and development opportunities.
  • Office dogs.*
  • Birthday celebrations.
  • Team lunches and social events.
  • A countryside office setting.
  • Managers who genuinely want to see you succeed.

*The dogs are very important.

What will you be doing?

As an HR Administrator, you'll play a key role in supporting our HR team and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role will provide valuable exposure to employee relations casework, employment law and consultancy support, giving you the opportunity to learn from experienced HR professionals whilst building your own knowledge and capability.

You'll often be one of the first people our clients speak to, helping to create a positive experience from the moment they contact us.

Your day might include:

  • Acting as part of the team providing the first point of contact for clients by phone and email.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and building positive relationships with clients.
  • Gathering information and accurately triaging client enquiries.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records using our CRM and internal systems.
  • Updating our client portal with updated employment policies.
  • Supporting HR Advisors and Consultants with documentation, projects and casework.
  • Producing professional correspondence and client documentation.
  • Assisting with newsletters, resources and other client-facing materials.
  • Learning about HR processes, employment law and consultancy services through practical experience and training.

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Enjoy helping people and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Have strong organisation skills and great attention to detail.
  • Can communicate professionally by phone, email and in person.
  • Like being busy and juggling a variety of tasks.
  • Enjoy being part of a team.
  • Are keen to learn and develop new skills.
  • Take pride in doing things properly.
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude.

You'll stand out if you have:

  • A degree in HR, Business Management, Psychology or a related subject.
  • A CIPD qualification (or are working towards one).
  • Previous experience in HR, recruitment, administration or customer service.
  • Experience using CRM, HR or business systems.

But don't worry if you don't tick every box. We care as much about attitude, values and potential as we do experience.

Our values matter

We're looking for someone who shares our values:

Go the extra mile | Client needs first | Caring and honesty | Work hard, play hard | Get stuff done

If that sounds like your kind of environment, we'd love to hear from you

Pay: £25,350.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Free parking
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • On-site parking

  • Do you have relevant experience in Administration or a degree in HR, Business or Psychology?
  • Are you easily able to commute to work in Redditch, Worcestershire?
