As a Council we have bold ambitions for our City and our people are key to delivering excellent services. We are looking for a hard working individual to join our recruitment team, with a focus on delivering HR Support to Sheffield City Council employees, managers and HR colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead administration of the recruitment processes, starting from advert stage, interview schedules, employment checks, through to contract stage on our ITrent system.
- Provide advice to applicants, support to recruiting managers and other HR colleagues in relation to all stages of the recruitment process.
- Work closely with your team members as well as supporting other teams within the HR Service on recruitment and general HR queries.
- Get involved in making improvements for more inclusive and better recruitment practice so that we can better attract and retain skilled employees from diverse backgrounds.
What you’ll need
The service receives a high volume of calls and customer enquiries from employees and managers, so you will therefore need to have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be highly organised, and confident in undertaking transactional processes
- Able to work at pace and with accuracy.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
