Description

Aequra has been providing exceptional care to older Australians for more than 40 years. What began as a commitment to delivering high-quality residential aged care has grown into an expanding, family-owned boutique aged care and home care group, with services supporting communities across NSW, VIC, ACT and QLD.

Today, Aequra operates residential aged care facilities alongside Live Well Home Care, our Support at Home division.

We are proud to have been recognised in 2026 with a 5-Star Employer of Choice Award by HRD Magazine, reflecting our ongoing commitment to creating a workplace where our people feel valued, supported and empowered to make a difference.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing People & Culture team.

As a HR Advisor you will provide practical, responsive and accurate HR support across our residential aged care facilities, Head Office and home care.

You will play a key role in onboarding, employee administration, compliance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting payroll and recruitment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Prepare employment contracts, variations and employment documentation.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, Awards and Agreements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records across HR and payroll systems.
  • Support payroll processing and respond to payroll-related enquiries.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and workplace investigations as required.
  • Prepare HR reports, metrics and workforce data analysis.
  • Contribute to HR projects, policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee engagement and culture-building activities.
  • Assist with recruitment activities when required.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role.
  • Strong knowledge of the employee lifecycle.
  • The ability to interpret Awards, Enterprise Agreements and workplace policies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, HR and payroll systems.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach and continuous improvement mindset.

If this feels like the right fit for you, we encourage you to apply!
