Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated HR Advisor to join our dynamic HR team. In this pivotal role, you will provide exceptional generalist HR support, delivering expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards. You will play a crucial role in promoting a positive employee relations culture, facilitating smooth TUPE transfers, and strengthening our position as an employer of choice.

Qualifications: Essential:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources, with demonstrated expertise in generalist HR functions and navigating complex HR issues.
  • TUPE experience and familiarity with Employment Tribunal processes.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and its application within a business context

Skills & Attributes: Essential:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and impact stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in HRMS and related software (testing will be conducted during the interview process).
  • Strong organisational skills and a proven track record in change management.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with our Head of people & Culture to deliver a comprehensive and proactive HR service. Act as a champion for HR initiatives and people-centric strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, establishing yourself as a trusted partner in HR matters.
  • Work closely with line managers to provide pragmatic support and training in employee relations, performance management, and other HR processes, ensuring alignment with company policies.
  • Provide constructive feedback and tailored training to enhance line managers’ HR skills and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the administration of HR-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in document management.
  • Manage employee relations cases with the goal of positioning the company advantageously in all situations.
  • Identify and promote best practices within the organisation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Support managers in the Amberstone Colleague Development Program to maximise the effectiveness of developmental meetings.
  • Drive excellence in recruitment, training, and development initiatives to align with organisational needs and future growth.
  • Create, develop, and safeguard all HR policies and procedures, ensuring they are current and effective.
  • Engage in HR project work that aligns with strategic business objectives, contributing to overall organisational success.
  • Stay abreast of the latest employment law trends, sharing knowledge with the HR team to ensure informed decision-making.
    Working Relationships: Internal: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, HR colleagues, and line managers. External: Engage with external advisors, job applicants, trade unions, and employment tribunals as needed.
