Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

As the HR Advisor you will report into the Group HR Manager and will support colleagues to resolve issues related to the employment and management of staff, whilst supporting employees with challenges relating to welfare and employment. Within your remit you will look after circa 600 employees. This will be a fast paced and varied role where you will be responsible for providing guidance and support with HR Policy and procedures, ensure employee relations are managed appropriately, build and maintain close working relationships with stakeholders and review and monitor employee records (maternity, paternity, sickness, absence). In addition you will promote company values, encourage engagement of others and will assist with various projects.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To provide a professional HR service, offering support, guidance and advice on all HR related issues. Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business.
  • To provide confident, accurate, legally compliant advice to managers and employees on all HR issues via telephone, e-mail and face to face.
  • To offer support and guidance to managers with all aspects of employee relations, including absence management and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
  • To ensure the maintenance of accurate and legally compliant HR and training databases.
  • Communicate with the HR Coordinators to ensure that all records are up to date and legally compliant.
  • Ensure that all relevant information, including starters, leavers and contract variations, is shared with the payroll department.
  • Ensure the training database is accurately maintained, including the recording of training provided, attended, expiry dates and cost.
  • To provide the HR Manager and HR Director with accurate HR statistics on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
  • Monitor monthly incoming reports from throughout the business including absence and turnover and collate information onto relevant spreadsheets.
  • Produce reports on relevant HR statistics when requested.
  • Support the HR Coordinators and HR Manager with managing and coordinating recruitment throughout the business.
  • Assist relevant business managers throughout the recruitment process, supporting with the screening and selection of potential candidates and coordinating of interview schedules.
  • Provide information, advice and answer queries related to company benefits including pension, health care cash plan and holiday buy-sell scheme.
  • Management of company’s childcare voucher scheme and Premier Inn business account.
