Real People Solutions are excited to support our client in the New Forest in hiring an HR Advisor to join their team for a 9–12 month fixed term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role within a supportive HR team, providing high-quality advice across the full range of employee relations and HR advisory matters.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma (or equivalent) and CIPD Associate Membership.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in HR, with demonstrable employee relations expertise.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and Excel.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (role requires travel across the district).

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional HR advice to managers and employees on employment policies, case law, and changes in employment legislation.
  • Manage complex employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, dismissal, and appeal hearings.
  • Support organisational change projects such as restructures, TUPE, and changes to terms and conditions, including consultation and implementation.
  • Work closely with managers to coach, guide, and build capability in handling HR matters.
  • Develop, update, and maintain HR policies and procedures aligned to the company culture and strategic aims.
  • Partner with trade unions and employee representatives, ensuring effective consultation and negotiation.
  • Support recruitment activities, including assessment centres and psychometric testing.
  • Deliver HR-related training to managers and staff.
  • Represent HR at corporate and specialist groups such as Employee Forums, EDI groups, and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Liaise with external organisations (CIPD, ACAS, Occupational Health, Xpert HR) and attend external events as required.
  • Proven experience in human resources management with a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies as they relate to HR initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various HR software platforms such as Oracle HCM, Ceridian, or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Strong analytical skills for data collection and reporting purposes.
  • Administrative experience in an HR setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of social media management strategies for employer branding is a plus.
