ABOUT THE JOB

The HR Advisor plays a key role in providing a high quality HR service in a dynamic business and our subsidiary businesses. The position works closely with the Director of HR and focuses on providing High Level HR support & advice to the business, especially on employment law, and delivering HR Project Work.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

· At least 3 years within a HR Advisor role
· Experience of working within either Engineering or Manufacturing multi-site business an advantage
· Flexibility to travel, with occasional overnight stays
· Strong IT skills, including Microsoft systems (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
· Knowledge of IRIS Cascade (HR System) an advantage
· CIPD level 5 an advantage

Responsibilities

· Support the Director of HR in providing an effective HR advisory service to several business areas based across the UK (circa 320 people)
· Develop and maintain effective relationships with our people including the Executive team, so as to be able to identify and respond to current and future people related requirements
· Work with line managers to co-ordinate allocated disciplinary, sickness and grievance issues to ensure adherence to both company process and legislation, that a fair process is followed and that thorough investigations are conducted where required
· Understand and respond appropriately to the requirements of the diverse business units and variety of cultures and approaches to HR
· Actively support the annual performance management processes, reinforcing the importance of continuous performance management including objective setting, giving and receiving honest feedback, and personal development
· Coordinate the Induction programme for all new members of staff
· Analyse, report, and act on monthly HR trends
· Recruit and attract the best talent to the business at all levels; including reviewing CV’s, conducting interviews and formulating offers
· Regularly maintain and update all HR & Recruitment systems
· Assist with the payroll coordination, including checking the month payroll data
· Responsible for processing employee records throughout the employee lifecycle
· Aligning your activities with the HR and business strategy, including Company Mission, Vision and Values
