JBS Australia, part of the global JBS business, is the largest and most respected meat and food processor in Australia with a strong portfolio of leading beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added products. Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Located in the Beef Capital of Australia, the JBS Rockhampton Plant produces a range of pasture fed and grain fed beef products. Our verified organic grass-fed beef brands, Acres Organic and Right to Roam, are both packed exclusively at Rockhampton. The plant employs approximately 560 team members with a processing capacity of 700 head of cattle per day, operating 6 days per week.

About the Role

Our Rockhampton Plant is seeking a passionate HR Advisor to join our HR team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding managers and workers on workplace rules, staff performance, and employment laws, and the HR Advisor is going to help solve staff conflicts, support hiring processes, and make sure company policies are fair and legal. The annual salary for this role is not less than $79,423 plus Superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with Job Posts, interviews, and onboarding new employees;
• Help managers build plans to improve staff work habits;
• Handle Staff complaints, disputes and disciplinary actions;
• Explain workplace rules, safety guidelines and labour laws to team leaders
• Provide information on job vacancies for the site

About You

• Bachelor's degree or higher is a must, preferably in Psychology
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and problem-solving skills to manage tough emotions and disputes
• Strong Knowledge of employment rules and safety standards
• Demonstrated computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• One year related working experience is essential
