M&D Care are seeking to appoint a HR Advisor to our fast paced, growing People and Culture Department. The department is going through a period of exciting change which gives the opportunity for the right person to utilise their knowledge while gaining new skills.
The HR Advisor will play a critical role in supporting the day to day operations of the HR Team and will become a key member of a busy, effective provision.
We are looking for a true people person who enjoys working alongside others to achieve common objectives. The ideal candidate will be a self starter and problem solver who can build relationships with colleagues at all levels.

QUALIFICATIONS:

CIPD Level 5 or at least two years experience in a similar role

Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As HR Advisor within M&D Care, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation achieves our ambition to become the employer of choice in our sector. You will provide high quality HR support and guidance to managers and employees across the South and West Wales areas.
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the HR Advisor role is central to driving M&D Care’s Values and sustaining a compassionate, effective and professional workforce.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To act as first point of contact for HR advice and support across the organisation, particularly in relation to employee relations, retention, and absence management.
  • To guide and support managers in handling disciplinary, grievance, performance and capability matters in line with current legislation and best practice as part of a case work management system.
  • Provide real time advice at formal meetings such as disciplinary hearings and grievance hearings.
  • Working alongside the Recruitment and Onboarding Team, contribute to providing an excellent candidate experience for applicants.
  • Maintain accurate HR records using M&D Care’s HRIS system, ensuring compliance with GDPR and sector-specific requirements.
  • Working alongside the Operations Team and Wellbeing Manager, contribute to workforce planning, retention initiatives and employee engagement processes.
  • Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current employment law and sector specific requirements.
  • Produce regular HR reports and analytics as required by the Head of Human Resources.
  • Provide advice and guidance on absence management issues, utilising Occupational Health services where appropriate.
  • Provide support to line managers throughout performance management processes.
  • All other tasks commensurate with the role.
