Description

Are you ready to take ownership of HR advisory and employee relations, and make a real impact in the Netherlands? Are you passionate about supporting people, building a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with local legislation that resonates with our diverse workforce and management teams? Can you envision yourself shaping the future of HR within a leading, innovative brand while contributing to the growth and success of a dynamic organization? If so, this is the opportunity for you!
We’re driven by our commitment to value, transparency, and innovation. Our goal is to deliver exceptional auction experiences to both bidders and sellers, while continuously improving how we work. Our team is collaborative and diverse, but we share key traits: we’re customer-focused, results-oriented, and unafraid to make bold decisions. We’re hands-on, proactive, and always looking to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The HR Advisor is responsible for providing expert guidance and support to our Dutch workforce in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for HR matters, ensuring compliance with Dutch labor laws and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. You’ll be responsible for supporting the full employee lifecycle, managing HR processes, and contributing to key HR projects—all while working closely with managers, employees, and cross-functional teams to drive engagement and performance. Through a blend of strategic oversight and hands-on execution, you’ll help position TBAuctions as an employer of choice in the Netherlands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide first-line HR support to managers and employees on HR matters, including contracts, working hours, sick leave, performance, and discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labor laws, collective labor agreements (CLAs), and internal policies.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, contract changes, promotions, terminations, etc.
  • Assist with performance management and development planning processes.
  • Handle absenteeism cases and coordinate with occupational health services (arbodienst).
  • Contribute to HR projects such as employee engagement, well-being, learning & development, and diversity & inclusion.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and manage HRIS updates.
  • Support payroll administration by ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
  • Build strong relationships with line managers to help drive a high-performance culture.
