The People AI Lead is a newly created, enterprise-critical role designed to accelerate AI fluency and adoption across the People (HR) function. Reporting to the Head of HR Transformation, this individual will partner across COEs, Technology, Data, and business stakeholders to embed AI into core people processes, elevate operational performance, and help redesign work for an AI-native future. This role demands exceptional innovation capability, strategic coalition-building, and the ability to translate AI potential into tangible HR and employee experience outcomes. It is a high-visibility opportunity to position Endava as a leader in AI-enabled HR transformation. AI Strategy, Fluency & Adoption at Scale Lead the People function’s AI strategy, driving AI fluency, responsible use, and widespread adoption across all HR teams. Build and maintain a People AI roadmap spanning foundational automation through to advanced agentic AI. Champion the integration of AI across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, People Partnering, L&D, and Employee Experience. Embedding AI Into Core People Processes Partner with our Centres of Excellence (COEs) to weave AI into critical HR processes, improving accuracy, speed, and decision quality. Collaborate closely with ATS, HCM, and LMS teams to ensure AI solutions integrate seamlessly with Endava’s HR technology stack. Identify and prioritise high-impact use cases that elevate the HR operating model and unlock new ways of working. AI-Enabled Work Redesign Coordinate enterprise-wide work redesign initiatives that help our people thrive in an AI-first world. Shape how AI influences job architecture, skills frameworks, capability development, and career pathways. Ensure that AI adoption is human-centred, ethical, and aligned with Endava’s culture and values. Design, Delivery & Governance Translate HR and business needs into clear functional requirements for AI tools and integrations. Lead functional testing, quality checks, and UAT for all AI-enabled features. Partner with Legal, Data Governance, and Security teams to ensure compliance, safety, fairness, and responsible use of AI. Innovation, Continuous Improvement & Insights Scan the market for emerging AI practices and apply them to elevate HR effectiveness. Measure the impact of AI initiatives with clear KPIs, using insights to refine processes and enhance user experience. Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders on AI trends, risks, and opportunities. Qualifications Education & Experience BA/BS in HR, Business, Data/AI, Technology, or related field. 4-7+ years’ experience in HR transformation, HR technology, AI/automation, or HR analytics. Prior experience integrating AI or automation into HR systems (ATS, HCM, workflow tools) is strongly preferred. Technical & Functional Skills Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and employee lifecycle operations. Familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, process automation, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts. Demonstrated success leading UAT, testing cycles, or functional implementation work. Leadership & Mindset Skilled at cross-functional coalition-building across HR, Tech, Data, PMO, and senior leadership. Forward-thinking, curious, and confident navigating emerging technologies. Highly credible with a bias for action, accuracy, and practical execution.
