MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated experience performing data entry and administrative support tasks in a Human Resources or office setting required.
  • This position requires familiarity with state and federal regulations affecting HR functions (e.g., FMLA, HIPAA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation).
  • General knowledge of employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and capable of learning internal HR software systems.

  • Understanding of data privacy and record retention standards.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels.

  • Ability to compile, analyze, and report HR data for tracking and compliance purposes.

This Human Resources Generalist position serves as a key administrative support role, with a heavy focus on data entry and record management to ensure the accuracy and integrity of HR-related information systems.
The position is responsible for the day-to-day data entry including Workers’ Compensation, health benefits, VSDP, and VRS. Additionally, this role assists with New Employee Orientation (NEO) and provides detailed documentation and follow-up. The HR Generalist also contributes to the planning and implementation of HR programs by supporting data-driven processes, assisting with compliance tasks, and offering professional and consultative assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees at Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in support of exceptional patient care.
