EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Proven experience in HR leadership and business support, ideally within the charity or non-profit sector.
  2. Excellent people management skills, with experience leading a team.
  3. Experience supporting senior leadership in implementing organisational changes.

KNOWLEDGE

  1. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and health & safety compliance.

ABILITIES

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
  2. Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  3. High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

· CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent/relevant HR experience.
· Experience managing apprentices or junior HR professionals.
· Previous experience in facilities or office management.

Responsibilities

As the HR and Business Support Lead, you will oversee the HR administration function, lead an HR apprentice, and manage the wider business support team, including facilities and health & safety. Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, you will also play a key role in supporting the rollout of organisational changes and developments, ensuring smooth transitions and staff engagement during periods of growth or transformation.
