THE POSITION
We are seeking a Coordinator to undertake a variety of HR and Health and Safety duties at our location in Timmins, Ontario. This position is a unique opportunity to strengthen the HR presence and align with the organizations overall HR & Health & Safety strategy. The successful candidate will facilitate functions such as; benefits administration, recruiting, training, health and safety programs, inspections, accident investigations and other administrative initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience and a broad knowledge of Human Resources and Health and Safety responsibilities. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and health and safety operations that support the needs of the business. This position will report into the Operations Manager.

- The ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information, maintaining employee privacy and setting a standard for privacy in the workplace
- Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and very detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple ongoing tasks
- Strong interpersonal, relationship building and customer service skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and management
- Proficient in MS Office: Microsoft Word, Excel, etc., as well as payroll software’s (such as ADP)
- Ability to prepare and analyze reports
- Experience leading the recruitment process which includes posting jobs, screening candidates, interviewing and preparing offers of employment
- Experience providing HR support to various locations virtually (which includes over the phone, via email and video conferencing)
- Experience providing administrative support to an organizations management team
QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources and/or equivalent work experience
- Two (2) years relevant experience with health and safety programs
- CHRP designation, or working towards, considered an asset
- 2-3 years recent and relevant experience in Human Resources and Health and Safety
- Post-secondary education in a related discipline preferred or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience
- Comfort conducting presentations to small and mid-size groups - a must
- Executive or administrative assistant experience would be considered an asset
