Job Title: HR and OD Consultant
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: Hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office)

As an HR and OD Consultant, you will lead on delivering strategic projects, working closely with elected members, directors, and senior officers to drive impactful initiatives that align with corporate objectives. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Strategic Objectives: Collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve service priorities through effective engagement, consultation, and negotiation.
  • Drive Innovation: Implement creative and forward-thinking solutions to complex challenges, ensuring services remain adaptable and future-ready.
  • Influence and Lead: Motivate and guide teams, supervise day-to-day activities, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Support Policy Development: Research, analyse, and contribute to policies that support strategic goals, ensuring relevance and compliance with legislation.
  • Produce High-Quality Outputs: Communicate complex, technical, and sensitive information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences through detailed reports and presentations.
  • Champion Diversity and Inclusion: Promote and uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role, ensuring alignment with organisational values.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Qualifications: Educated to Level 5 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years in a relevant service area.
  • Proven track record of supervising employees and managing workloads.
  • Experience in stakeholder consultation and negotiation.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills to meet demanding deadlines.
  • Analytical and innovative approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
