Are you looking for a varied and busy workload and the opportunity to develop your skills and experience and in the future?
We are looking for someone to provide a professional and efficient HR service to the Company facilitating the implementation of its policies and practices alongside providing a payroll function which is seamless and of a high standard.
You will be a customer and employee focused individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and ideally have previous experience within an HR/Recruitment Admin role within a manufacturing or similar environment where there are different working patterns and rates of pay.
You will also be flexible as from time to time due to operational shift hours, working outside of office hours may be necessary.
You will have experience in a role that required the processing of sensitive and confidential data with accuracy and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Good general standard of education i.e., English and Maths GCSEs as a minimum
  • Previous experience within an HR/Recruitment Admin role desirable.
  • Knowledge of UK employment law, and a willingness to attend seminars and updates to ensure any changes in legislation are known.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relay information to all staff in a prompt, concise and accurate way.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding employee and Company information.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring work is of a high quality.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
  • Proactive attitude to improving and streamlining processes.
Responsibilities

This will include the following:

Employee Relations

  • Triaging and actioning enquiries from staff and managers, escalating where appropriate.
  • Supporting the administration of disciplinary, capability, grievance and absence management meetings, including potential dismissal and appeal hearings, taking notes of the meeting and handling written correspondence.
  • Ensuring return to work forms are received, logged, and absence levels are monitored and managed appropriately by supporting. managers.

Administration

  • Maintenance of parking passes, including ensuring the spreadsheet is up to date and issuing passes when employees join or change vehicles.
  • Providing written correspondence such as reference requests and letters relating to role changes.
  • Maintaining employee records and personal data ensuring this is up to date at all times and compliant with the Data Protection Act including ICO registration.
  • Ensuring all benefits are correctly administered with regards to joiners, leavers and monthly updates.

Payroll

  • Overview of all payroll activities including maintenance of payroll spreadsheets.
  • Collating weekly and monthly payroll information and other payroll changes.
  • Administration of payroll system on a monthly basis to ensure all staff are paid accurately.

Recruitment

  • Keeping ATS and job boards up to date with adverts and recruitment statuses.
  • Reviewing and shortlisting candidates against ‘person specification’ requirements, along with telephone screening and coordination of onsite interviews.

Onboarding

  • Carrying out pre-employment checks of candidates shortlisted for interview (Right to work)
  • Making offers to successful candidates and drafting of employment contracts for approval.
  • Collating employment contract packs and sending out to new starters by email and post.
  • Filing interview packs (New starter and unsuccessful candidates) and maintaining records in line with GDPR requirements.
  • Organising the induction process including coordinating and running induction sessions with the Leadership Team and H&S, preparing training files, issuing keyfobs and parking passes and carrying out the HR induction presentation.
  • Ensuring probation reviews are completed on time and providing the written correspondence that accompanies this process.
  • Coordinating the Criminal Records check process and ensuring renewals are processed in line with Home Office requirements.

Learning & Development

  • Booking training venues and liaising with managers to book individuals on internal and external courses.
  • Sending out joining instructions to advise participants by email/phone of course and venue details.
