Description Position Summary The HR and Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting human resources functions while ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. This role bridges HR operations and safety programs, helping maintain a productive, compliant, and safe work environment for all employees. Key Responsibilities Human Resources Duties Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation Support payroll, benefits administration, and timekeeping processes Assist with employee relations by addressing questions and supporting conflict resolution Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws Safety & Compliance Duties Coordinate and maintain workplace safety programs and policies Conduct regular safety inspections and audits Track and report workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses Ensure compliance with OSHA (or applicable regulatory) standards Organize and lead safety training sessions and meetings Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation Fleet compliance Administrative Support Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Support internal communications related to HR and safety initiatives Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Training and Development, or related field (or equivalent experience and/or degree) 2+ years of experience in HR, safety, or a related role Knowledge of employment laws and workplace safety regulations Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) Safety certification (e.g., OSHA 10 or 30, or similar) Key Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy Problem-solving and critical thinking Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong interpersonal and communication skills Time management and multitasking ability Work Environment Combination of office and field/worksite environments May require occasional travel to job sites or facilities Schedule Monday-Friday Hybrid schedule (Mondays and Fridays work from home; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in Corporate Office)
