Job Introduction
As an HR and Training Manager with Sodexo, you are also an employee advocate, and thoughtful leader. We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced professional to support our high-profile healthcare contract at Colchester Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in stabilizing a new contract and embedding Sodexo’s HR practices and learning and development strategies.
The successful candidate will partner with business leaders to drive HR and L&D solutions that enhance people performance, workforce planning, and operational excellence. This role is crucial in delivering a smooth TUPE transfer and supporting change management initiatives to integrate the team into Sodexo’s ways of working.

Responsibilities
  • Support the TUPE consultation and transition process, ensuring a smooth mobilisation.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and integrate team members into Sodexo’s culture.
  • Implement HR strategies that align with business needs and objectives.
  • Monitor and utilise HR analytics to drive performance improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses and deliver engaging, standards-compliant training sessions.
  • Support and coach managers on handling employee relations cases effectively.
  • Drive recruitment, resource planning, and retention strategies while developing succession plans.
  • Collaborate with L&D to implement and evaluate training solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Sodexo operates a hub and scope approach, in which this role will provide an opportunity to work with various stakeholders within the Health & Care Segment.
  • Liaise with the central HR team on any complex ER cases
  • Working with the wider Health & Care HR team, along with a local HR Manager on a connected site
