OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant and Administrator to join our start-up team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting HR functions, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to a positive workplace culture. This position requires strong communication skills, administrative experience, knowledge and proficiency in various applicable HR regulations. In addition to this, the successful individual will also manage administrative activities including employee onboarding, procurement, travel bookings and other administrative activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in human resources or a related administrative role.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems - in this case the system is provided by the HR agency that the company works with.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in employee records.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees at all levels.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools for employer branding purposes is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual responsibilities effectively. Responsibilities
  • Manage employee records and maintain accurate data entry within HRIS systems
  • Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating job postings, screening applicants, and managing the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires, including orientation and training coordination.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to implement employee engagement initiatives and social media management strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with employment legislation and company policies while ensuring a fair workplace environment.
  • Provide administrative support for various HR projects and programmes as needed.
  • As the office administrator, ensure time-sheets are submitted on time
  • Ensure efficient employee and contractor onboarding including the execution of background checks, contracts and requisite IT onboarding requirements
  • Review and approve travel requests for team members and where necessary book travel requests
  • Maintain leave records and ensure employee well being by ensuring that leave assignments are consumed in time
