PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION

Bridges Community Living is a non-profit senior’s housing organization. We operate 3 lodges and 7 apartment buildings within the City of Red Deer and are currently recruiting for a Permanent Part-Time HR Assistant. This position reports to the Office Manager and will be responsible for processing payroll and providing support to the HR department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 2 years experience in Human Resources or Payroll office, working knowledge of Employment Standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Mandatory successful criminal record check, Proof of COVID vaccines
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, good time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, and problem-solving ability.
  • Compassion and desire to work with Seniors.
  • Appropriate equivalencies may be considered.

Responsibilities

· Support the HR Manager in the administration of Human Resources policies and processes, onboarding, OHS and WCB Claims management.
· Processing payroll according to established procedures and HRIS systems.
· Compile and update ongoing employee records.
· Reconciliation of monthly benefits, reports for accounting purposes.
· Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities (staffing, recruitment, training, performance evaluations)
· Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
· Coordinate HR projects (meetings, training, surveys) and minute taking.
· OHS administration support for ongoing regulations and minute taking.
