Description

We are a car dealership in Chippenham with two sites. We are looking for a HR Assistant to work closely with the Director of the business. The hours can be flexible but ideally we would like some one part -time for around 2 days a week. Hours 9.00am to 2pm

Key Purpose

  • First point of contact for a range of day-to-day HR queries.
  • To provide general administrative support for the HR function across all two sites.
  • Manage the administration of all relevant HR systems including, processing new starters, movers and leavers whilst also process any in life contractual changes.
  • Payroll administration on a monthly basis, including collating documents, entering timely and accurate information into relevant spreadsheets.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administration of all relevant HR systems including, processing new starters, movers and leavers for payroll, process any in life contractual changes, in a timely manner
  • Manage Payroll administration on a monthly basis ensuring accuracy in the information and all deadlines are met
  • Ensure accuracy of HR records and systems
  • Cover reception from time to time if needed.
  • Answer all HR queries including; reference requests, policy queries, occupational health/absence queries
  • Assist with general HR administrative tasks and produce monthly.
  • Support the Business with hiring of new staff
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • Playing an active role in HR projects
  • Providing feedback on HR policies, practice and processes and advising on any required updates and improvements

Person Specification

  • CIPD qualified or part qualified
  • Previous HR Advisory experience
  • Effective knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience of prioritising and managing own workload
  • Effective knowledge of GDPR
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Relationship building skills
  • Business understanding
  • Advisory skills – able to advice, support, and coach managers effectively
  • Influencing skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Positive can-do approach to work and presented challenges
  • Accountable and responsible
  • Able to work on their own and report to the Director
