HR Assistant II - Credentialing   Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, the HR Credentialing Specialist will perform a wide range of duties and responsibilities involving the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports for the Human Resources Department for the Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN). This position will have primary responsibility for performing credentialing duties and responsibilities.  PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assists new employees with completing the required credentialing application. * Performs specialized office work requiring knowledge of DWIHN policies and procedures. * Processes Credentialing applications for DWIHN new employees. * Completes National Practitioner Database Check, Systems for Award Management database check, MDHHS Sanctioned Providers List, and OIG checks as appropriate. * Maintains, tracks and monitors the license expiration dates for DWIHN employees. * Collects and processes verification and accreditation information. * Updates and maintains accurate information for DWIHN employees.  * Enters new employees into the MHWIN software system. * Updates DWIHN employee credentials in MHWIN. * Assists current DWIHN employees in completing credentialing/recredentialing applications. * Maintains a database of education, license, and related information for DWIHN employees. * Attends Credentialing Committee, subcommittee and other meetings. * Performs a wide range of duties involving the maintenance and processing of DWIHN personnel records and reports. * Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, DWIHN staff, public and private agencies. * Assists with creating and disseminating DWIHN HR correspondence. * Assists with the development and maintenance of confidential information/files.  * Responds to HR inquiries and requests. * Tracks DWIHN HR actions and correspondence within the HR office.  * Composes and sends out standard acknowledgments and follow-up letters on a scheduled basis. * Assists with the coordination of internal and external meetings, conference calls and other engagements, conferences and activities for the Vice President of Human Resources.  * Creates documents for submission to internal departments and external agencies. * Facilitates internal and external meetings as identified by the Vice President of Human Resources - including performing work activities related to said meetings.  * Performs related duties as assigned.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA’S) * Knowledge of Human Resource principles and practices. * Knowledge of HR Information systems. * Knowledge of DWIHN policies, procedures and practices. * Knowledge of the Credentialing process. * Organizational skills. * Planning skills. * Accuracy skills. * Analytical skills. * Time Management skills. * Interpersonal skills [https://zety.com/blog/interpersonal-skills]. * Communication skills. * Active Listening skills. * Implementation skills. * Multitasking skills. * Accuracy and detailed oriented skills * Computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Outlook, Teams) * Teamwork Skills [https://zety.com/blog/teamwork-skills]. * Ability to communicate orally. * Ability to communicate in writing. * Ability to work effectively with others. * Ability to act ethically and with confidentiality. * Ability to work with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, economically and socially diverse population. * Judgement/Reasoning ability.   REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A High School Diploma   AND  Five (5) years of professional experience performing human resource duties and responsibilities. Two (2) years of Credentialing experience preferred.   PLEASE NOTE: A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field may be substituted for required experience.  An Associate’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field may be substituted for up to two years of required experience.   REQUIRED LICENSE(S).
