Description

The critically acclaimed and award-winning José Pizarro restaurant group is actively seeking a highly focused and experienced Hospitality Human Resources Assistant to join our Operations Team. In this role, you will support the HR Manager with administrative and general human resources tasks. The ideal candidate will maintain impartiality and confidentiality while providing effective support on HR matters and ongoing HR administration.
Objectives and Goals
To proactively support the HR Manager and the restaurant teams
· To facilitate a culture of commitment to the company’s values, standards, operating philosophies and overall business strategy.
· Consistent guidance and advice to employees on the application of HR policy and procedures
· Develop a positive, direct and open relationship with all colleagues
Job Activities
· Assist the restaurant team with recruitment by placing adverts, CV screening, set up interviews to deliver recruitment on time, to the required standard and in line with budget
· To assist with all documentation / administration required for engaging employees is completed with appropriate methods.
To assist the HR manager/ site manager in delivering a full company orientation and an exit interview and feedback key issues
· To assist with general HR queries voiced by all staff in a professional and timely manner
· Ensure all employees files are kept up to date with all relevant information, certificates issued, etc
· To assist with the issuing of essential letters e.g. Contracts of employment, tronc letters, reference letters and other documents.
· Liaise with HoD to ensure all essential documentation is received e.g. visas and passports
· General filing
· To provide accurate and timely documentation to facilitate on going, regular and ad hoc HR initiatives.
· Support the implementation of the restaurants training plan and training is carried out in a professional manner.
· To attend meetings / training sessions as required by the ops and site team.
· Support the management of all employees’ performance in line with job descriptions, giving regular feedback and appraisals.
· Ensure that Flow system is checked weekly and required actions, reminders are set.
Training
· Delivery of a professional company orientation programme
· Support the managers in their delivery of professional departmental inductions
· Production of individually tailored induction programme for people with supervisory responsibilities
· Liaise with various supplier for statutory trainings i.e. First aid, fire safety and COSHH
· Ensure all staff training on Flow is up to date and regular reports are sent to HoD.
Managing Employee Relations
· To assist in ensuring a consistent employee reward programme is in place. Such as employment anniversaries, birthdays and so forth.
· To assist the HR manager in provide a professional, confidential and independent HR service to staff.
· Take notes during all employee relation meetings.
· Support and educate the management on the company’s progressive disciplinary procedure.
Payroll
· To assist with the gathering of all relevant forms/ documents prior and post pay runs
· To forward all P45s to the HR manager.
Health & Safety
· Understand the use of Risk Assessments and their importance to the business
· Understand relevant H&S legislation and the implications on the business, taking action as required
· To ensure all required further statutory training for Management is arranged.
· Ensure a safe workplace by identifying and reporting hazards and taking corrective action
· Review and communicate health and safety audit reports and initiate required action with relevant departments
· Be fully aware of fire, bomb and evacuation procedures for your department and your colleagues

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
