JOB SUMMARY:

The Plant HR Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the HR department, front office, and maintenance team at our Lima plant. This role contributes to creating a supportive and respectful workplace by modeling Rudolph Foods’ core values: humility, integrity, open and honest communication, personal responsibility, respect for others, and genuine care.
This team member helps maintain accurate employee records, supports payroll and onboarding processes, and assists in HR and company-wide initiatives. Additionally, this role supports the maintenance department with ordering parts, scheduling work orders, coordinating contractors, and analyzing maintenance data for continuous improvement.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent; 2–4 years of HR or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems
  • Experience supporting maintenance or operations is a plus
  • Must be approachable, dependable, and team-oriented

LANGUAGE & MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, interpret, and communicate clearly with employees at all levels
  • Basic math and reasoning abilities; comfortable using charts and data for reporting

    Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personnel and company information
  • Support recruitment by assisting with job postings, screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding
  • Conduct employee onboarding to reinforce company culture and goals
  • Perform E-Verify and I-9 verification tasks
  • Enter and update employee and benefit information in HR systems
  • Assist with payroll tasks, including time and attendance verification
  • Support offboarding processes including exit interviews and unemployment claim documentation
  • Track and report employee attendance and issue documentation for corrective action when needed
  • Maintain organized, professional employee files (electronic and physical); avoid local storage of sensitive data
  • Provide courteous support for employee policy and benefits questions
  • Maintain and enhance employee communications and engagement efforts
  • Answer phones and greet guests, vendors, and contractors professionally
  • Issue visitor badges and ensure proper documentation
  • Support the maintenance department by:
  • Ordering parts and supplies
  • Coordinating contractor schedules
  • Assigning and tracking work orders

  • Analyzing work order data for predictive maintenance reporting

  • Handle incoming/outgoing mail and shipments, including FedEx and USPS

  • Assist with special projects and cross-functional tasks as needed
