Description The HR Assistant provides technical and administrative support to NSWC Crane’s Human Resource Services. This role supports day-to-day operations by reviewing and making recommendations on regulations, policies, and practices. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and prepare program reports for use in various projects. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide human resource functions for program areas including examining laws, policies, rules and procedures, and providing informational support. Compile data to document, develop, and prepare program reports for use in various programs and projects. Gather, maintain, and store official records related to programs. Provide support in documenting processes, initiating meetings, scheduling, reporting and coordination across organizations. Provide guidance and information to employees and supervisors. Review and provide recommendations on regulations, policies, and practices under statutes and legal authorities. Execute tasks related to recruitment, selection, workforce planning, and placement. Provide classification, staffing, recruitment, and placement services. Provide documentation support including, scanning, copying, reviewing, and uploading documents and forms. Requirements 3+ years’ experience providing human resources assistant and administrative support. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong writing and documentation skills suitable for formal government deliverables. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage recurring deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with DoD environments, programs, and systems. Previous experience supporting management or leads. Ability to develop and maintain reports.
