JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail orientated HR Assistant to join our friendly and supportive HR team. You will be based at our stunning headquarters in Sutton-in-Ashfield, assisting the team with day-to-day HR operations and being an onsite point of contact for HR queries.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working as a HR assistant or in a similar administrative role is preferred
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to accurately prepare written documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you will be able to build rapport and work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Good level of numeracy
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using HR Systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, Power point)
  • CIPD level 3 / equivalent qualification is preferred
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £26,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • You’ll play a key role in responding to employee queries, or collecting information and escalating more complex matters to our HR Advisors - ensuring a smooth and responsive HR service across the business.
  • Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes
  • Maintain accurate employee records
  • Coordinate training sessions and HR events
  • Use HR Systems and Excel to generate reports on key people metrics
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparation of letters and contracts
  • Take notes at people meetings
  • Gather colleague feedback via suggestion boxes or in person
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation
