JOB DESCRIPTION:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or healthcare-related field, or a minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, OR CHHR certifications preferred.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with HRIS System(s) desired (ex: LAWSON).

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Working knowledge of employment law (federal, state, and local).

SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task and change direction quickly.
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Promotes mutual respect and professionalism in working relationships.
  • Strong customer relations/customer complaint resolution skills are required.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance/Tracking - Responsible for monitoring the tuition assistance program, running, and auditing monthly reports, check requests, employee ID badges and parking passes, employee files, electronic PAFs, bi-weekly payroll reports and adjustment sheets, LMS administrator responsibilities, and other administrative support to the IPM HR team.
  • Recruitment – Assists with phone screens, coordinates new hire processes, schedules employees for orientation, obtains reference checks, completes background checks and drug screening, uploads new hire data from ATS to HRIS, and obtains required documents and verifications.
  • Orientation and Onboarding – Responsible for providing orientation and onboarding for all new employees (i.e., scheduling orientation, conducting orientation, arranging office space, etc.)
  • Regulatory – Responsible for ensuring new employee I9 process is in compliance, and responsible for follow up and follow through on all compliance hotline calls.
  • Employee Relations and Engagement - Demonstrates the ability to assist employees, management, applicants, and visitors in a friendly and courteous manner and answers questions and/or refers to the appropriate person as needed. Schedules appointments and navigates customers. Policy, procedure, and employee handbook interpretation and guidance to staff.
