YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative HR role, or a combination of relevant experience and coursework in Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience working with confidential or sensitive information
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with Payroll strongly preferred.
  • Experience using an HRIS as an Admin, preferably with Gusto.
  • Experience with an organization with a mission that supports similar communities as WSL is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related questions.
  • Process employee changes, including confirming approvals, preparing and delivering paperwork, notifying finance, and entering changes into the HR system.
  • Oversee New Employee Onboarding, including coordinating their first day, entering information in the HR system, completing the I-9 process.
  • Oversee employee off boarding, ensuring all necessary paperwork is filed and delivered, and pay is received on time.
  • Maintain all employee records and personnel files.
  • Process payroll by ensuring all timesheets and employee changes are accurate and completed on time, and submitted to the HRIS for processing.
  • Assist managers with employee relations conversations, such as during an investigation or mediation.
  • Assist with recruiting including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates and working with managers to review candidates.
  • Assist with other HR projects or tasks, such as benefits enrollment, performance management, reporting & compliance, and policy updates.
  • Assist with employee engagement and office duties, as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
