Position Summary Under the direction of the AVP of Human Resources, the HR Associate provides support for day-to-day HR operations. This role is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational HR tasks, including recruitment support, onboarding, employee inquiries, compliance, and HRIS data management. The HR Associate serves as the first point of contact for employees and plays a vital role in ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining compliance with HR processes and policies. Essential Responsibilities Provide first-line support for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures. Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, applicant tracking, candidate communication, pre-screening, and interview scheduling. Support onboarding and new hire orientation, ensuring required paperwork and HRIS entry are completed accurately. Maintain accurate and compliant personnel files in both HRIS and electronic filing systems. Support the administration of employee benefits during onboarding, status changes, and open enrollment. Assist with leave management processes, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and other LOA cases, ensuring proper tracking and documentation. Generate and maintain HR reports; support audits and compliance reviews as needed. Process employee status changes for payroll accuracy (promotions, transfers, separations). Assist with HR-led employee engagement programs, recognition events, and communication campaigns. Partner with HR leadership and team members to support projects, training programs, and process improvements. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Support other HR functions and initiatives as assigned. Requirements Education, Training and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. 2–3 years of HR experience preferred Experience with HRIS/ATS systems (Paylocity experience a plus). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Have a learning attitude and natural curiosity for how things work, with a desire to help with process improvements and efficiency. Ability to project positivity, professionalism, and provide guidance as the face of the HR/People Team. Have critical thinking skills, people skills, and demonstrate an elevated level of emotional intelligence and confidentiality skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS software. Strong attention to details. Schedule: Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your schedule may vary depending on business needs and other factors. This is an on-site role.
