Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Benefits Coordinator works closely with the Manager, Benefits & Compensation and
the Benefits Administrator. This position consists of accurately keying employee data in the HRIS system.
This keypunching responsibility includes all aspects of employment, compensation and benefit
administration. Exceptional benefit understanding is essential. The ability to communicate the benefit plan
designs is needed. Behaves in a professional, customer-focused, service-oriented manner displaying and
promoting respect, care and dignity for all internal and external customers. Facilitates a team-oriented attitude,
striving continuously for service excellence.

Essential Duties:

  • Enters employee information into the HRIS payroll system, including but not limited to new hires,

benefits, compensation, changes in status/transfers, terminations, etc.

  • Coordinates enrollments, changes, and terminations of benefits and assures that proper deductions are

forwarded to payroll.

  • Works closely with the Benefits Administrator, insurance companies, service providers, and

employees to resolve problems regarding benefit eligibility and payment of benefits to providers.

  • Meets with employees as needed to answer questions and complete benefit forms related to new hires,

qualifying events, etc.

  • Explains benefit plans and programs to employees.
  • Assists in the preparation and presentation of written and verbal communications to employees.
  • Provides back-up coverage and as a resource in the Document Imaging process of HR records.
  • Assists with Compensation projects including surveys, wage adjustments and communications.
  • Assists other HR staff as needed and other jobs and duties as deemed necessary.
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the facility’s history, mission, services and organizational

structure.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field.
  • Two or more years of HR experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations relating to Human Resources, i.e. Title VII

of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Affirmative Action, ADA, FMLA.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Computer knowledge including Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to engage patients and team members utilizing the CMH Experience Standards
