Description

Human Resources Business Manager – Corporate Portfolio
Uniting | Full-time Permanent | Hybrid (Sydney CBD & Parramatta CBD)
Be the driving force behind outstanding people outcomes in one of Australia’s most purpose-driven organisations.
At Uniting, we do work that matters — and we need leaders who do too. We’re looking for a strategic, tech-savvy, people-first Human Resources Business Manager to partner with senior leaders across our corporate portfolios. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role with direct influence over how Uniting attracts, supports and grows the people who power our mission.
Deliver the strategy. Lead the change. Achieve outcomes that matter.
You’ll be a critical advisor to Uniting’s Corporate Leaders. You’ll develop and drive people strategies across multiple directorates — and bring together the right people, systems and insights to deliver outstanding employee experiences.
As a member of our People Experience leadership team you’ll collaborate with a range of HR SMEs - never being short of support or ambition.
This role is ideal for a confident operator who excels at balancing priorities, coordinating across teams, and bringing clarity and momentum to complex environments. It’s not just about plans — it’s about making them happen.

Your key accountabilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of integrated people strategies across our Corporate portfolios.
  • Build trusted partnerships with Uniting’s Corporate Execs and Senior Leaders, providing high-level strategic HR advice and leadership coaching.
  • Shape leadership capability and culture by embedding Uniting’s values and leadership frameworks in everything we do.
  • Drive transformation initiatives including workforce planning, talent management, succession and engagement.
  • Champion organisational change across several strategic projects.
  • Utilise data and people analytics to drive decisions and deliver actionable insights.
  • Promote diversity, equity and inclusion across all people initiatives.
  • Prepare regular people reports, Board-level papers and executive briefs that help move the dial.
  • Mentor, guide and support an experienced HR Business Partner to achieve excellent outcomes.
  • Advocate for simplicity, clarity and a great experience for all internal clients.

What sets you apart
You’re more than experienced — you’re energised by working in complexity, unafraid of ambiguity, and confident in influencing senior leaders. You are passionate about service delivery, systems-minded, and obsessed with impact.
