Job Description:
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will provide a wide range of strategic HR services to leaders within your assigned business area(s). Reporting to the Director of HR for the Business Unit, you’ll collaborate closely with management and executives to address operational and talent-related challenges, including change management, organizational development, culture, employee and union relations, workforce planning, and coaching.
You’ll proactively translate business strategies into HR solutions that help the organization or hospital achieve its strategic goals. With a deep understanding of the business model, you’ll diagnose organizational needs, connect and deploy team capabilities, and consult with department leaders to improve performance through people.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Experience in manufacturing, life sciences, or the medical device industry.

Responsibilities
  • Guide leaders in managing labor and employee relations, including performance management, investigations, discipline, grievances, and contract negotiations.
  • Mediate conflicts and support constructive resolutions while providing accurate HR policy and contract interpretation that balances risk and business needs.
  • Engage with managers to understand business operations and strategy, enabling you to recommend effective HR practices aligned with organizational goals.
  • Use metrics and data analytics to identify business issues and drive informed HR recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business unit HR on talent forecasting, organizational redesign, position descriptions, classification, and salary recommendations.
  • Participate in the screening and selection process for key roles.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, identifying organizational barriers and partnering with leadership to implement practical solutions that foster a high-performance culture.
  • Support the organization through growth, restructuring, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with the Sr. Manager of Talent Development to identify and facilitate development opportunities, including management training, coaching, employee engagement strategies, orientation, and onboarding.
  • Coach and develop leaders and managers to strengthen people-management capabilities.
  • Work directly with Union Representatives and lead union contract negotiations.
