Job Description The HR Business Partner is a key operational and advisory role, primarily serving as the HR partner for the Commercial and Support Functions based at the Headquarters. The role reports directly to the HR Director and is responsible for managing the seamless execution of all HR lifecycle activities—from talent acquisition and employee relations to operations and compliance—while proactively driving the Avery Dennison culture and strategic people agenda within the assigned client groups. Key Responsibilities: Talent Acquisition, Staffing & Planning Coordinate with the TA Partner on the full-cycle recruitment strategy and execution for all Headquarters roles and directly lead recruitment of FTCs and contractual positions, ensuring alignment with headcount plans and diversity goals. Manage and own the seamless implementation of onboarding, orientation, and offboarding practices, ensuring a best-in-class employee experience. Analyze and provide strategic input to the HR Director and Commercial leadership on relevant market data, labor demand/supply, and internal headcount evolution, contributing to workforce planning. Generate and validate monthly and periodic Headcount reports for the Commercial function with high accuracy. Employee Engagement & Relations Design, implement, and measure proactive employee engagement strategies and programs that foster Avery Dennison’s culture and values across the City Office. Own the entire grievance and dispute resolution process for the Headquarters, advising managers on complex employee relations issues and ensuring resolutions are fair, consistent, and legally compliant. Lead the planning and execution of CSR initiatives and large-scale employee events, strengthening organizational connection. Ensure all HR policies and initiatives are maintained through robust support to all employees and compliance with local laws. HR Operations, Communication & Compliance Oversee and manage all administrative and HR operational workflows for the Headquarters, identifying opportunities for process efficiency and digitization. Act as the primary liaison with external agencies, legal consultants, and professional associations, ensuring all external dealings comply with company standards. Ensure timely, clear, and professional internal communication and circulation of organizational announcements, policies, and procedural updates. Ensure deep knowledge and strict adherence to all applicable labor laws, employment contracts, and statutory requirements for the Headquarters. Business Partnering Serve as the dedicated HR Business Partner for the Commercial and Support Functions, advising function heads on performance management, talent development, engagement, and organizational design for off-role/contractual teams. Proactively anticipate and address people-related issues and opportunities within the client groups, translating business challenges into appropriate HR actions. Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities of a sensitive or confidential nature as assigned by the HR Director. Qualifications Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably in Human Resources Management (HRM) or a closely related field. Job Experience: Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years managing core HR functions or acting as an HRBP, preferably in a Multinational Company (MNC). Functional Skills: Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex employee relations and grievances. Advanced analytical ability with experience providing strategic reports to management. Excellent command over English (both written and verbal) and fluent in Bengali. Well conversant with Google Workspace, HRIS systems, and capable of creating high-quality presentations. Expert knowledge of Bangladesh Labor Law and legal compliance matters. Personal Profile: High level of professional maturity and integrity with the ability to handle highly confidential information. Strong leadership potential and proven ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority. Proactive, results-oriented, and excellent judgment in navigating organizational dynamics.
