Description:

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Human Resources Business Partner within our HR team to help support our Automotive business. Did you know we are the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of seating support and comfort systems for transportation manufacturers, as well as tier one and two suppliers within the automotive industry? Our Automotive products fall into three primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.
This hybrid role is based in Nuremberg, Germany. With around 80 employees, our location in Nuremberg is our European headquarters, where several regional and global function holders are based. While some of them are supported directly by the local HRBP, others require close cooperation with HRBPs from other international or corporate locations.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER -

  • You will be the sparring partner and first contact for managers and employees in all HR-related topics throughout the employee life cycle.
  • You will act as a Change Facilitator, supporting the transition from a regional to a global organizational structure.
  • You will participate in developing and implementing strategies for talent management processes in close cooperation with the European and Corporate HR team.
  • You will recruit and onboard new employees, working with our Talent Acquisition Team in the UK for regional or global roles.
  • You will be responsible for budgeting and monthly forecasting of HR related costs and monitoring and reporting HR KPIs.
  • You will be responsible for managing the Nuremberg location and have an Office Administrator reporting directly to you.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE -

  • You have already worked in a generalist HRBP/HRM role covering the full employee life cycle and have profound knowledge of German labor and social security law.
  • You feel comfortable in the manufacturing or product development area, dealing with different job levels across multiple countries. This requires effective communication skills both written and verbal in German and English.
  • Ideally, you have a university degree with a specialization in HRM or Sociology and/or a certification as a professional coach.
  • You understand people’s and business needs, evaluate topics, and propose solutions that comply with legal and corporate regulations.
  • You have a good understanding of financials and experience in workforce planning & analytics.
  • You have profound knowledge of performance & talent management processes.
  • You feel comfortable working with systems (SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Concur, HRworks) and have experience in digitalization and streamlining of HR processes.
