The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as both an advisor and consultant to business leaders, aligning objectives with the needs of Team Members across office, retail and/or warehouse locations. This role combines high-level strategic guidance with hands-on HR execution, driving talent strategy, organizational design, and a people-first, high-performance culture aligned with the brand’s prestige and global footprint.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5 years’ human resources experience managing employee relations.
  • 3+ years of experience working in multi-location and multi-state environments including California.
  • International Human Resources experience a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of California labor laws and exposure to global HR regulations (Europe and Asia a plus)
  • Demonstrated experience supporting client groups in both corporate and retail functions.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, Ceridian - Dayforce preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen, metrics-driven and analytical
  • Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities
  • Partners with department leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.
  • Provides coaching and support to managers on a range of people-related matters, including performance issues including performance management, policy interpretation and violations, leadership development, career pathing, and the management of team dynamics.
  • Advises leaders on complex employee relations cases with discretion and business sensitivity, ensuring alignment with state, federal and international labor laws. Champions a high-touch, luxury-service Team Member experience which reflects the brand’s identity.
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition and Learning teams to attract and grow top-tier talent across the organization.
  • Ensures consistent application of policies and employment practices across states and regions, with an understanding of cultural and legal nuances.
  • Supports organizational growth by leading HR initiatives.
  • Guides change management processes, including communication planning and transition support for leadership and teams.
  • Analyzes HR metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in employee engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.
