Supporting our locations in Gorham, ME, Nashua, NH, and Hamburg, Germany, the ideal candidate for the HR Business Partner position will have 3-5 years of progressive full cycle HR experience in a manufacturing/production environment. This role will work on site in Gorham, ME with biweekly travel to Nashua, NH. Job Summary: The HR Business Partner role supports the company by administering programs and policies relating to all stages of the employee life cycle that align with the Company’s vision, ensure legal compliance, and encourage employee engagement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Stay up to date on HR trends and best practices as well as employment laws and regulations and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting compliance. Support full cycle recruiting by drafting/updating job descriptions, drafting job Postings, screening, interviewing, and assisting leadership in selecting employees to fill vacant positions. Plan and conduct new employee orientation and onboarding to foster positive attitude and alignment with company goals. Process and ensure accurate system records pertaining to hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, etc. Support and train leadership in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, harassment, and any other HR “hot topics” Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and ensure disciplinary action is used fairly. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs. Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental, vision and disability insurances, PTO, leaves of absence, employee assistance, and wellness. Plan and execute employee activities that foster meaningful connection to the Company and site (luncheons, celebrations, open enrollment & wellness activities). Create and post internal communications Participate in monthly department and site communication meetings to provide updates and communications to employees. Actively participate in the company’s Safety program, owning injury reporting, recordkeeping, light duty assignments, and WC leaves. Audit records and processes. Requirements Education and Experience: Associate’s degree preferred, BA/BS a plus. 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience working with cloud based HRIS, Paylocity a plus. Skills and Competencies: Strong attention to detail. Ability to work and maintain confidentiality. Highly organized and able to work in an environment with distractions and shifting priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to work independently and collaboratively. Strong computer skills
