Description

HR Business Partner | Multi-Site Care Group | South of England | £55K + £3K Car Allowance
We’re recruiting for a values-led HR Business Partner to join a growing, multi-site care group operating across the South of England. With homes in locations including Surrey, Finchley, Southampton, Sevenoaks, and Colchester, this is a senior HR role supporting frontline care services to deliver consistently high standards through robust people management, staff wellbeing, and strong leadership culture.
This is a home-based role with regular travel across all sites (including overnight stays when needed). You’ll ideally be based along the M3, M4, or M25 corridor for ease of travel to the group’s head office in Reading.

As HR Business Partner, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day HR support to Home Managers and Regional Leads across your portfolio
  • Guide and advise on complex employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, and grievance cases
  • Lead on attendance and absence management processes using Bradford Factor tools
  • Support recruitment campaigns for senior or urgent vacancies, working closely with internal teams and preferred suppliers
  • Deliver HR training on topics including performance management, absence, and recruitment best practice.
  • Provide advisory support on Right to Work documentation, sponsorship, and visa requirements
  • Support the HR Director on strategic and operational projects, including new process implementation
  • Conduct regular colleague file audits to ensure full compliance and data integrity
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism across all matters and documentation
  • Work in a matrix structure with HR, Operations, Quality, and Compliance to align people priorities across the business
  • Provide out-of-hours HR advice occasionally, based on the needs of the homes

What we’re looking for:

  • A confident HR generalist with experience advising at a senior level, ideally within social care or a similar regulated setting
  • Strong knowledge of current UK employment law and best practice
  • Experience managing ER casework across multiple sites or regions
  • Track record of building credibility with operational managers and frontline staff
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience); Level 7 desirable but not essential
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach and excellent communication skills
  • Comfortable travelling regularly and staying overnight when required
  • Ability to work in a remote-first environment while managing a complex workload

In return, you’ll receive:

  • Salary of £50,000–£55,000 per annum DOE
  • £3,000 car allowance + mileage
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
  • Company pension and life insurance
  • Employee Assistance Programme for physical and mental wellbeing
  • Free enhanced DBS
  • In-house and external training, including funded qualifications via Your Hippo
  • A supportive senior team that values people, purpose, and professional development

This role is ideal for an HR Business Partner who thrives on autonomy, believes in compassionate leadership, and wants to help care teams succeed from the inside out.
Apply by sending your CV and a summary of your HR leadership experience to: ebeleo@snghealthcare.co.uk, or call Ebele Ossai, Recruitment Director, on 02380 118222 for a confidential discussion.
This vacancy is advertised by S.N.G Healthcare, a trusted partner in senior care appointments across adult and children’s social care. All applications will be treated in confidence.
