Our client is a leader in its field, and part of a group of companies who are dedicated and motivated to be the best. For over 60 years, they have been providing sales and service solutions for clients across Canada and beyond.
They are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team in Mississauga.
The HRBP is a seasoned professional, providing support to a client group of over 200 employees in Mississauga. A strategic partner with strong communication skills and an outgoing personality, the HRBP will support and train managers on performance management and team leadership, guiding employee relations and staff retention strategies and programs, and will oversee the delivery of best practice HR programs across business units in alignment with organizational goals.

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in an HR Generalist capacity with focus on employee relations, training and employee engagement required.
  • A University degree or College diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent required; achievement of or working towards a suitable HR certificate is considered an asset.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now software, or similar HR software program preferred.
  • Experience providing HR Generalist support in a sales and service environment, with a client group of 200+ strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and revise strong HR policies and programs that align with best practices and applicable legislation in Ontario is required.
  • G class drivers’ license and reliable personal vehicle required for minimal local travel.
  • Ability to develop and maintain solid work relationships with staff and management is required.
  • Excellent communication and strategic problem-solving skills are a must.

Responsibilities
  • The first point of contact for managers and staff with all aspects of employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, workplace investigations, etc.
  • Lead HR projects in the areas of organizational effectiveness, employee retention, leadership competencies, career development, workplace culture, and others as required.
  • Develop and facilitate required training programs for employees and managers in areas related to leadership, compliance and other best practices as required.
  • Partner with corporate HR leadership to ensure HR programs are delivered in an effective and consistent manner across business units in the Mississauga region.
  • Collaborate with managers and track and analyze HR metrics on turnover data, employee engagement levels, and other metrics to identify trends and recommend action plans for improvement.
  • Other related duties as required.
