HR BUSINESS PARTNER (FIELD-BASED) SOUTH REGION

Location: Field-based with regional travel across the South of England | Regular Head Office visits to our base in Theale
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Up to £45,000 + £4k car allowance
At The Old Station Nursery Group, our mission is simple: create brighter futures, for children, for families, and for our people. We’re looking for an HR Business Partner who’s as passionate about people as they are about performance. Someone who can bring strategic insight and roll-up-the-sleeves pragmatism to a role where no two days look the same.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU WANT TO:

  • Partner closely with Regional Operations and Area Managers in our South Region to drive engagement, performance and retention whilst supporting the wider people team to deliver the businesspeople strategy.
  • Happy to be where the action is, out in the field (three days a week) supporting our teams where culture lives- in our nurseries.
  • Be a trusted advisor on everything from employee relations to talent development.
  • Champion values-led leadership while keeping pace with a fast-growing, multi-site business.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Acting as a strategic sounding board to leaders, helping them get the very best out of their teams.
  • Leading on complex ER cases with empathy, professionalism, and legal know-how.
  • Supporting capability plans, onboarding, and leadership development.
  • Being a visible cultural ambassador by driving inclusion, wellbeing, and engagement initiatives.
  • Bringing fresh ideas from the wider HR world to keep our People Strategy future-fit.

You’ll be part of a growing group that’s shaping the future of early years education. You’ll have the freedom to make a visible impact, the support of a passionate team, and the satisfaction of knowing your work matters.

  • Holiday and Celebrations: 31 days of holiday, including national bank holidays, plus a Christmas closure week and your birthday off!
  • Career Development: Access to The National College full of training and courses
