Description Transwest's HR Team is growing and seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to be involved in every area of human resources, including but not limited to: employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, safety, training, compensation analysis, ACA and so much more. This team member will serve as SME for learning and development and employee relations. HSA and/or FSA, as applicable Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Company Paid Holidays Employee Car Discount Program ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Consult with employees and managers to address questions and concerns by interpreting and applying company policies. Partner with managers on employee development, coaching, and performance improvement. Manage employees’ requests for accommodation under ADA, including initial inquiry through to the final implementation of appropriate accommodation. Provide as needed support in administering employee leaves of absence. Develop, implement and maintain an employee learning and development program. Collaborate with recruiting and managers to evaluate existing job titles and descriptions for accuracy and consistency. When necessary, assist with creating new position titles and descriptions. Demonstrate continuous effort in developing and fostering relationships with all levels of management and employees. Maintain employee personnel files and compile statistical reports concerning personnel related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, etc. Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity, sexual harassment and recommend changes as needed. Assist with the administration of the benefits program. Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination and prepare recommendations to be presented to the HR Director. Assist in responding to unemployment claims and represent the organization at appeal hearings, as needed. Utilize outside resources to monitor employment law updates, communicating potential changes to senior management. Ensure HR regulations, statutes, and government mandates, including HIPAA, are met. Support a successful employee onboarding process and foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives. Other duties as assigned. Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Requires sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Requires eye­hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires working in a fast­paced environment. Requires the ability to occasional travel to local business locations, during business hours, about 5­-10% of the time. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing. Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and personnel information systems. Knowledge of employment laws nationwide, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, etc. Advanced knowledge of all Google Suite, Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills is highly preferred), Adobe applications. Outstanding organizational and time management skills. Exercise a high level of attention to detail and confidentiality. Demonstrate superior communication skills in person, over the phone and through email and other electronic means. Experience with Paylocity, preferred. Five to seven years of experience in human resources. A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience. PHR or SPHR, preferred. Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post offer background check, physical, and drug screening.
