HR BUSINESS PARTNER

Our client is seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR leadership across business units or community-based teams. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding people initiatives in alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a skilled relationship-builder who thrives in dynamic environments and brings deep expertise in labor relations, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness, especially in healthcare or similarly complex settings.
This role is onsite in Bellingham, Washington.

HR Business Partner Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders to implement people strategies that support business goals, cultural alignment, and workforce development.
  • Serve as a consultant and coach to leadership on employee relations, organizational development, conflict resolution, and change management.
  • Lead or support labor relations activities including contract interpretation, union engagement, grievances, and negotiations.
  • Use HR metrics and data to influence decision-making and enhance workforce performance.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Expertise and Shared Services to deliver integrated HR solutions and ensure policy compliance.

HR Business Partner Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • HR certification strongly preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in employee and labor relations.
  • Prior experience as a strategic HR business partner, ideally in healthcare or a similarly regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with major HRIS platforms.
  • Demonstrated strength in conflict resolution, investigations, and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and projects.

Compensation: $40-$55/hr. (DOE)
