Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with construction site managers and leadership to execute HR strategies that support business growth and workforce efficiency.
  • Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning for field and office teams.
  • Analyze HR metrics (turnover, safety incidents, hiring trends) to recommend improvements.
  • Partner with recruitment teams to attract skilled labor (e.g., tradespeople, project managers, engineers) and office staff.
  • Develop retention strategies for frontline workers, including career pathing and training programs.
  • Manage onboarding for field employees, ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations.
  • Resolve conflicts and conduct investigations related to worksite issues, union matters (if applicable), or policy violations.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
  • Implement performance management systems tailored to construction roles (e.g., site supervisors, contractors).
  • Coordinate training programs (safety certifications, leadership development, technical skills).
  • Support competitive compensation structures for hourly and salaried employees, including union agreements (if relevant).
  • Educate employees on benefits (healthcare, retirement, workers’ compensation).
  • Promote a safety-first culture through HR initiatives and collaboration with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams.
  • Organize employee engagement activities to boost morale in a high-turnover industry.
