Minneapolis, Minnesota Position: HR Business Partner Team: HR Primary Objective of Position: HRBP serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and supports employees at all levels of the organization through involvement in the areas of Human Resources; Employment/Labor Relations, HRIS Management, Payroll Administration, Onboarding/Staffing logistics and Compensation encompassing the full employee life cycle. Position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the business objectives of the organization. Focusing on people strategy with business goals in a Union environment. Major Areas of Accountability: Act as a trusted resource partnering closely with business leaders and employees; providing coaching and support on all aspects of human resources and the employee life cycle Be a role model and advocate of change; promoting a positive workplace culture, partnering, and communicating with business leaders Process payroll for weekly union and semimonthly nonunion pay groups using ADP Maintain ADP and Timetrak HRIS systems Manage and resolve workplace conflicts, employee relation issues, and address Union grievances Analyze and use data to guide business decisions; provide reporting to various departments monthly Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs Promote company-wide HR initiatives and continuous improvement Other duties and tasks as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field 5+ years Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing and Union setting Knowledge of HR/payroll principles and current Federal/State employment laws and regulations Knowledge of ADP and HRIS systems preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and SAP preferred Excellent communication, management, organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent time management skills; proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality Ability to interpret laws and policies to support HR department in making appropriate decisions Ability to analyze data and propose methods for continuous improvement Ability to perform duties with minimal direction Committed to bringing new and innovative ideas to enhance growing company and HR Physical Requirements: Physical ability to travel freely within manufacturing and office facilities Must be able to lift Twenty-five (25) pounds unassisted Must be able to climb stairs
