Description

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Classification and Compensation Manager to lead and oversee critical organizational functions focused on job classifications, compensation strategies, and talent acquisition. This individual will play a key role in developing equitable and competitive salary structures, advising organizational leadership on HR best practices, and driving recruitment initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
Key Responsibilities:Classification and Compensation Management:
Conduct comprehensive job classification studies, leveraging market benchmarks and data analysis to ensure accurate salary structures.
Review and manage pay schedules, salary adjustments, and organizational factors such as longevity considerations.
Perform equity assessments for new hires, promotions, and internal adjustments to ensure compliance with compensation standards.
Analyze pay changes and their financial impacts using Excel, and present detailed reports based on findings.
Review and respond to reclassification requests for vacant and filled positions, ensuring proper alignment with organizational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree and/or PHR/SHRM preferred.
Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in classification and compensation management and recruitment within a structured organizational environment.
Strong expertise in salary analysis, job evaluations, market benchmarking, and compliance standards.
Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for financial impact calculations and reporting.
Familiarity with compensation systems and HR best practices in organizational structure design.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with HRIS systems, NEOGOV, or similar system.
Education or Public sector experience preferred.
Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and deliver actionable recommendations.
Strong analytical abilities combined with problem-solving skills to address complex HR challenges.
