POSITION SUMMARY

Provides consultative direction to assigned clients on best HR practices for various human resource functions; researches and resolves complex issues. Manages a team of staff in administrative support of client HR function and application of HR best. Evaluates and establishes customer service standards, develops operating policies and procedures, and ensures that services are consistent with overall human resources objectives, policies and procedures, and best practices. Participates in strategic decision making as a member of HR Management team.
This role will engage specifically in our hotel vertical and will have additional responsibility to oversee the HR transition plans for newly acquired hotel properties. Will require 25%-30% travel.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of HR related experience
  • Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that is above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of HR experience in a branded hotel.
  • Fluent to read and write in Spanish
  • Experience in Paylocity a plus but not required.

    Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Oversees the day-to-day activity and provide guidance and consultation to the Human Resources Coordinators, as assigned; provides internal orientation and training, as appropriate, in the application of processes and procedures and in compliance with established service guarantees and best practices.
  • Provides guidance and consultation to assigned clients regarding Human Resources best practices, policy interpretation, performance management and employee discipline, problem resolution, and compliance with state and federal law(s).
  • Serves as a liaison with high-level stakeholders and provides advice, problem resolution, and facilitation on a range of complex human resources issues, in collaboration with subject-matter experts in human resources specialty areas, as appropriate.
  • Facilitates the administration of internal processes and system changes; research need and develops new and/or revised operating procedures as required to meet changing requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate process improvement opportunities within areas of oversight; identify opportunities for streamlining existing processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Designs and implements programs, systems, and services that are responsive to the needs, goals, and objectives of the business; works with peer Manager, Payroll Manager and Managing Director of HR to ensure company-wide consistency of application and compliance with all Federal and State employment and compensation laws and guidelines where possible.
  • Develops reporting procedures and other methods to establish program accountability and measure success; revises processes and procedures to reflect contemporary approaches to human resource management and to improve effectiveness.
  • Directs and oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
