At Cornish Tea & Coffee, we’re on a mission to fuel moments with great brews – and now we’re looking for someone to help fuel our growing team too.
This is a brand-new role, ideal for someone who’s proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to build the people and compliance function from the ground up. You’ll be our go-to for all things HR and compliance – from onboarding new starters to keeping our SALSA and organic accreditations on track. You’ll work closely with our external HR and compliance consultants for guidance, but you’ll be the hands-on person managing the day-to-day.
As the business grows, this role is expected to evolve and grow with it – with scope to shape the team and function over time.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of HR administration (contracts, onboarding, policies, absences, etc.)
  • Coordinate training records, appraisals, and staff development plans
  • Maintain compliance with SALSA, organic certifications, H&S, GDPR and employment law
  • Own and update internal processes, registers, and documentation
  • Support internal audits and be the point of contact for inspections/accreditations
  • Drive a people-first culture across the business
  • Keep on top of updates from HR and regulatory consultants, actioning key next steps
